Dennis O'Toole stepped onto the scene
in early November 1974, complete with stubble, memory, and the lashmarks
of experience. If a celestial craftsman were to hew a short-form improviser
from wood and bedight him with Life, he would have wrought one Dennis
Patrick O'Toole. Unfortunately, Dennis did not know what short-form
was until 1999, when he first took classes at the IO Theater in Chicago.
And yet, they don't teach short-form there. Dennis has taught writing
at the Second City Training Center and currently performs comedy at
the IO Theater. Half man, half hu-man, all love-man, Dennis lives
with his wife Gloria and their four children in a spacious ranch house
outside of Hermosillo, Mexico. When not improvising, Dennis can be
found lecturing at the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks,
Pennsylvania, or chastising his prize-winning gamehound, Andy.
