Mission IMPROVable is the
nation's most touring-est improv group ever! Since 1998, this band
of improv agents
has been traveling the country spreading it's unique style of improv
comedy to everyone they meet. Their roots began in Massachusettes,
in 1996. There, the original six members (Ryan, Jeff, Aaron, Lloyd,
Jason and Jason) met and started performing together on the campus
of UMass Amherst. After two years of weekly shows in the
Campus Center, the six friends decided it was time to pack up and head out to
Chicago-- the World Capital of Improv Comedy.
Once in Chicago, the guys united with world renowned teacher (and friend) Liz
Allen, who put them through an intensive improv training program. In addition
to working closly with Liz, each original member completed courses of study at
the ImprovOlympic Training
Center and the Second
City Conservatory. Mission IMPROVable
performed as a house team at the world famous ImprovOlympic for three years,
and
solidified their artistic reputation in Chicago, eventually hitting the road
to tour in 1999.
Since then Mission IMPROVable has grown bigger and stronger. The company has
expanded
from the original six members to fifteen, and continues to fortify its ranks
each
year. M.I. has performed at hundreds of colleges across the country, participated
in countless improv festivals as both performers & teachers and even crossed
the Pacific for several performances in Singapore.
